MEAX Level has brought together new technology that generates precision measurements down to 0.001 mm/m via a user-friendly interface.

Meax® Level instruments make use of 2 axis high-precision sensors (1μm/m), that enable a one-man solution for the installation and setup of precision machines. The devices use an App based digital platform off which to make precision adjustments from. Results are saved in the onboard library for job tracking purposes.

Meax® Level sensors may be mounted on surfaces using the supplied mag base, in tool holders using a 16 mm shaft holder or mounted on customised fixtures which further increase the flexibility of Meax® Level Single and Dual Level systems.

Meax® - Multi-Purpose Sensors

Meax® SR201 and SM201 serve as multi-functional sensors.
They include an integrated precision laser transceiver platform incorporating a 2-axis PSD detector and high resolution inclinometers that record each angle of rotation. The sensors are used for a variety of measurements including:-

  • Spindle Direction
  • Straightness
  • Squareness
  • Coaxiality

The SR unit is fitted to that part of the machine which forms the reference whilst the SM sensor is attached to the machine axis that be measured.

Meax® - Pen

Meax Pen is a battery-powered wireless measuring probe that connects to a mobile device using an App or the MT system Display Unit. MEAX Pen can be used for measurements such as run-out of machine spindles, spindle alignment, backlash in machine guide-ways or repeatability in fixtures or machine movements.

Meax Pen consists of a LVDT sensor with two ranges, either ±1 mm or ±2.5 mm and accuracy to within 0.001 mm. The measuring sensor and battery assembly are enclosed and have a protection class of IP65 which will with stand coolant and oil.

The wireless transmission enables the sensor to be used with the machine doors closed.

Meax® SQ201 Angle Prism

For squareness measurements, the SQ201 angle prism is fitted to the SR sensor which angles the output laser beam at precisely 90° with an accuracy within 0.005 mm/m. The angle prism has a built-in mechanical device that allows the user to alter the direction of the laser beam at any time during the measurement process with a simple manual operation.

As the SQ201 is small, it can be installed in machines where space is limited and where one needs to maximise the distances between the measurement points. Its light weight minimises the risk of sag errors.
